And so I’ve truly crossed over. I have fallen in love with the battlefield. It’s like being in the military and feeling naked when in civilian clothing. I have followed the aroma of the Lord and have found myself on a desert battleground. With truth as our arsenal and worship as our armor we continue to stand our ground. We will not surrender… ever. Pestilence does stalk and plagues do strike at noonday but neither will we fear (Ps 91). Those who endure will reign with me, the Lord says. WITH HIM. It’s not the job title I’m after, its proximity to the one I love. I am still learning how to use tools that I didn’t know I even had. I have laid ahold of some certainty in the midst of the plaguing spirit of uncertainty in this city. Something I can now know to be true, even though I sometimes don’t feel it here, is speaking or acting even when you can’t muster up faith enough to feel it but His word is the only light that peirces this darkness. It’s like you have to chisel off the built-up moss of this world off of the rock your standing on otherwise all your on is slippery ground.

I heard today that someone was saying that the Lord is returning His glory back to His body. I don’t even know what that looks like in the natural world but I’ll take it. Lord whatever makes us look like you; however, whenever, wherever, I’ll take it.
