HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We love it when people ask that question, not just because we and this community have needs, but that God desires to bless you and giving is one of the opportunities through which He works to do this.

PRAY

When you pray, you are partnering with us to open doors and thereby making our work more effective. This is no small thing. Paul asked the Colossians to “devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.” Colossians 4:2-4

COME

We invite you to come. Come just to see what’s happening. Come to refresh yourself. Come and pray and worship. Come and work. Come for a day, a weekend, a week or a lifetime. Come alone, with your family or with a group. But remember—when we said God desires to transform our lives—we meant it. Come. Come expecting to meet God. GIVE

God uses His people to help fund His plans and to accomplish the desires of His heart. When you give, you are partnering with God. We at Two Rivers are convinced that what we are doing here in Cairo is not our own small little human plan, but a dream of God’s heart. Our God is a God of renewal, restoration & healing and we are confident that when you give to this endeavor, you are giving to a work that will produce a harvest for eternity. You have our commitment in this, we will seek with our utmost to steward well every resources that is given to God’s work. In this effort we will ourselves seek to live simply & sacrificially as we give generously to those in need. WISH LIST

It is such a treat when one of our supporters sends us something from our wish list!  Included on our list are both small and big items.  If you would like to grant a wish - feel free to send the item directly or provide a donation for us to purchase the item.  And Thanks! 

TWO RIVERS WISH LIST

  • Support for a Two Rivers staff (you can support them so much per month or year)  Of all the things that we need most – this is the biggest.  Our staff are the key to the ministry, especially prayer, in this community.
  • Heating System (boiler has been condemned)
  • Ceiling for GYM
  • Sports Equipment – Basketballs, kickballs, footballs, Frisbees, volleyball
  • Office chairs for staff (PROVIDED!!)
  • Good sewing machines for classes
  • Embroidery Machine
  • Playground Equipment
  • Kitchen Equipment – triple sink, convection oven, new cabinets, ice machine
  • School Supplies for students for Fall  (PROVIDED FOR 2006!)
  • 20 pair of computer speakers for new computer lab
  • Good used computers P3 or higher.  We are doing a class where a parent and child take a computer class together and at the end of successfully completing the class they get to take home a free refurbished computer.  The computers would be used to give to the families. (less than 10% of the youth we work with have access to a computer after school and none of the schools have open access computer labs)
  • Good working computer monitors.
  • Tubes for bike tires. 
  • Bike tire repair kits.
  • Bike locks.
  • Yard tools (many of ours have gotten broken this summer) Bush cutters, axe, metal rakes, saw, hoe.
  • Used working digital camera’s – we are wanting to do a graphics class for students and would like to be able to check out a digital camera to them for the class.   Can be 1 megapixel or better.
  • Used working camcorders – we are wanting to do a video editing class for students and would like to be able to check out a camcorder to them.  Super 8 and digital only – no VHS.
  • Kitchen towels and wash clothes
  • Metal music stands 2-4 (PROVIDED!)
  • Arts and crafts supplies – markers, crayons, beads, chalk, etc
  • Painting supplies – oil and acrylic paints, easels, brushes, canvases
  • Van or funds to fix the van donated to us (needs headgasket)
  • Mop heads, rolling mop buckets
  • Conference Table – simple, not too big
