Two Rivers Ministries

Tribe of Judah is an after school program for children 3^rd through 5^th grade.  The program focuses on equipping children in prayer, praise, and Biblical knowledge and understanding.  

In the Spring of 2007, the Tribe of Judah went on a “Journey to the Kingdom of God”, a 10 week scavenger hunt to discover and uncover realities of living in the Kingdom.  Together this group of about twelve children worked together to solve the mysteries of what the Kingdom of God was, who was the King, how do you get into the Kingdom, and what is our role once we are in the Kingdom.  Children enjoyed solving puzzles, reenacting Bible stories, “traveling back in time”to walk through the process the Israelites had to go through to get rid of their sin and discovering how Jesus plays into this process today, and entering into the “Kingdom of God” room where the children were crowned and taught about the royal place we take in the Kingdom. 

Throughout it all children engaged in earning badges based on the armor of Christ.  These children memorized scripture, learned how to use a concordance, shared with family and friends what they were learning, and saw how the truths they were learning about the Kingdom could be applied and observed in their daily lives. 

Tribe of Judah participants also learned the Tribe Motto and Tribe Song, sang songs and prayed for their friends, family, and community during the adventure. 

Bible Quizzing 

In addition to the Tribe of Judah program, most Tribe kids stayed for an optional “Bible Quizzing” time afterwards where children would read a section of scripture and then go head to head answering questions.  The children had an amazing capacity to remember what they had read and loved the game aspect of getting into the Word.
